# About RecordAsk

RecordAsk is a product of Just Right Place, LLC in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Districts use it to ask published board records in plain English and open the cited page.

## The product

RecordAsk indexes agendas, minutes, attachments, and adopted policy that the district already publishes. Every answer names the source file and page. Board and administration ask from a passworded web app. Email, Teams, Slack, a website widget, Google Chat, and a custom domain are supported placements of the same cited answers.

## When to use it

Use RecordAsk when staff spend time hunting PDFs for a vote, a budget figure, or the controlling policy. Use it when a solicitor needs a citation, not a summary without a page. Do not use it for student records, SIS data, or anything the district has not already made public.
